Arkansas/FEMA Disaster Recovery Centers Open in Perry, Crawford and Yell Counties

Little Rock, Arkansas – Disaster recovery centers are opening soon in Houston (Perry County), Mulberry (Crawford County) and Dardanelle (Yell County) to offer in-person support to individuals and businesses in counties included in the Arkansas federal disaster declaration for flooding on the Arkansas River in late May. Representatives from the State of Arkansas, FEMA, the U.S. Small Business Administration, and other organizations are at the centers to explain available assistance programs and help connect survivors with resources that best match their recovery needs. The first three DRCs to open will be located at: Opening...

AUSTIN, Texas – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded $3.3 million to the Fort Bend County Levee Improvement District #7 working with the Texas Division of Emergency Management (TDEM) to fund Phase I of the Fort Bend County Soil Stabilization Project.  This project will provide a comprehensive approach to bank stabilization for the Brazos River by using low dams to alter the flow within the bend of the river and shift the current away from the outer bank.
