For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude:
1. A tropical wave is located just west of the coast of Central
America, and an area of low pressure is expected to form from
this system south or southwest of the southern coast of Mexico over
the weekend. Environmental conditions are forecast to be conducive
for development, and a tropical depression is likely to form early
next week while the system moves generally west-northwestward.
