ZCZC MIATWOEP ALL TTAA00 KNHC DDHHMM Tropical Weather Outlook NWS National Hurricane Center Miami FL 500 AM PDT Tue Jun 15 2021 For the eastern North Pacific...east of 140 degrees west longitude: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Depression Carlos, located about 1700 miles west-southwest of the southern tip of the Baja California peninsula. 1. A broad area of low pressure is expected to form later this week a couple of hundred miles offshore of the coast of southwestern Mexico. Environmental conditions are expected to be generally favorable for gradual development of this system thereafter, and a tropical depression could form by this weekend while it moves slowly northwestward, roughly parallel to the southwestern coast of Mexico. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent. * Formation chance through 5 days...medium...40 percent.
