AUSTIN, Texas – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $2.7 million to Victoria County for debris removal following Hurricane Harvey. An estimated 158,501 cubic yards of construction, demolition and vegetative debris was collected and removed after the storm. The cost of debris removal exceeded $3 million. FEMA’s grant of more than $2.7 million requires $308,602, or a 10 percent nonfederal contribution, from the applicant.
