Oklahoma City, OK – Four more counties in Oklahoma have been designated for disaster assistance as part of the federal disaster declaration for severe storms, straight-line winds, tornadoes and flooding between May 7 and June 9, 2019.
This announcement brings the total number of counties designated for Individual Assistance to 21 with today's addition of Cherokee, Le Flore, Noble, and Nowata.
Canadian, Creek, Delaware, Kay, Logan, Mayes, Muskogee, Okmulgee, Osage, Ottawa, Payne, Pottawatomie, Rogers, Sequoyah, Tulsa, Wagoner and Washington are the counties previously designated for Individual Assistance.
Individual Assistance for homeowners and renters may include grants to help pay for temporary housing, home repairs and other serious disaster-related expenses not met by insurance or other assistance programs.
Low-interest disaster loans from the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) are available to businesses, private nonprofit organizations, homeowners and renters to cover residential and business losses as a result of the disaster.
