WASHINGTON – FEMA announced that federal disaster assistance has been made available to the state of Texas to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by Tropical Storm Imelda beginning on Sept. 17 -23, 2019.The President's action makes federal funding available to affected individuals in Chambers, Harris, Jefferson, Liberty, Montgomery, and Orange counties. BATON ROUGE, La. — At the request of the state of Louisiana, Lafayette, Livingston, Pointe Coupee, St. Bernard and St. Martin parishes have been added to the August 27 major disaster declaration for preparations and damages related to Hurricane Barry. The additional parishes are now eligible for FEMA’s Public Assistance (PA) funding to supplement state and local recovery efforts in the areas affected by Hurricane Barry between July 10 and 15, 2019.
