AUSTIN, Texas – The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) has awarded more than $4.6 million to the Archdiocese of Galveston-Houston, an eligible nonprofit organization, for repair and replacement at several facilities following Hurricane Harvey. The archdiocese covers 10 counties and a geographic area of 8,800 square miles. Many of the organization’s churches, schools, offices and playground covers were repaired after the storm. Appliances, playground equipment and office and school furniture were replaced with the grant money.
